Quote of the Day about being “not that gay” by Kreayshawn
Kreayshawn, the creator of the ridiculous contagious GUCCI GUCCI LOUIS LOUIS FENDI FENDI PRADA song (still don’t know what I’m talking about? Click here), did an interview with GQ, which you can read here. The following excerpt caught my eye and made me laugh a little bit. I don’t know exactly what I think of it, but it qualified as quote of the day for me….
On her sexuality: “I’m, like, a person who likes love. And I can find love in any type of person. I’ve dated girls and I’ve liked girls. But they’re usually straight girls, so it never works out. I mean, I’m not that gay, so I don’t have the energy to convince someone else to be gay, you know?”
Also, an interesting tidbit…. she was cast on Bad Girls Club and backed out when she saw an episode where one of the roommates “got hella bleach thrown on her, and I was like, I don’t want to be on a show where I’ll get chemically poisoned and get jumped out in my sleep and shit. It’s not enough money for that.” haaaaaa. I’m really sad now. I feel like she would’ve been epic on that show. Oh well.

My interview with Brandon from MTV’s Cutthroat
This season on MTV’s The Challenge: Cutthroat, Brandon Nelson was a fierce competitor. Coming off a short appearance on Fresh Meat 2, Brandon had a lot to prove. His team threw him into the Gulag week after week despite his strong performance, and this is what he has to say since leaving.
You were new last season on Fresh Meat II and were paired with Katelyn. After a few weeks you ended up in the exile and had the most amazing DQ of all time. The beer disqualification. To date, it’s my favorite elimination ever. Do you still get a lot of crap for that?
Yeah I still get so much hell about the breakfast beer but in my defense, and my closest friends will tell you, I can get really intense and really mean at times especially in situations like I dealt with involving my partner. It wasn’t because she was transgendered, it was because she basically cost us our chance at the money. So, knowing I was goin home anyway I had 2 choices: cuss her out, scream, yell, and look like an insensitive douchebag, or try to be understanding, throw myself a going away party and drink all the free booze I could get my hands on before I left.
This season in Cutthroat you did a great job, going into 4 Gulags and sending 3 competitors home. Unfortunately you were sent home this past week by Derrek. Which Gulag was the most physically challenging?
It feels great to have gone into the Gulag and come out with a victory 3 times. The most challenging definitely was the Gulag with Derrek. He’s a great competitor and had a lot of heart.
In your 3rd Gulag you made it through because Ty DQ’d. Do you think you would’ve beat him if he didn’t DQ?
And speaking of heart, yes, I believe I would’ve beat Ty if he would’ve gotten back up. I think saying he DQ’d gets away from the fact that I just flat out beat him. I out worked him which is why it ended up the way it did. He just didn’t have enough in the tank and I was able to come away with a win that night.
Ty seems pretty crazy. Crazy as in insane. Whenever he has an outburst (where it’s obvious he’s completely out of it) MTV plays a clip of him in the confessional acting like it was all planned, saying he does it to “push people’s buttons.” Do you buy that?
I think that he does generally like to push people’s buttons and get under their skin whether he is drunk or sober. This is definitely taken to a very exaggerated level when he’s drunk but to buy his story that it’s a part of some elaborate strategy is very difficult for me to buy into. But with him, you never know lol…

A few weeks back Laurel laid a verbal smack-down on Big Easy in the hot tub. While watching it, I couldn’t help but notice you in the corner, looking extremely uncomfortable. You didn’t really step in to stand up for Eric. Was that a political decision to stay out of it, or was it more of an “oh-shit-this-is-awkward-and-I-don’t-know-what-to-say” moment?
I actually did take up for EZ it just wasn’t shown. Initially Laurel’s drunken rant came from nowhere so everyone was surprised and caught off guard. Plus they’re both grown and I wanted to see where it was going and if they could get it together on their own. Laurel will even tell you that I talked to her about it and she then apologized to EZ shortly thereafter and then to the rest of the world later. And I am in no way justifying her actions but everyone has a bad drunken night and that was one of hers. Unfortunately in our position its on camera, but this doesn’t make her the anti-christ so let’s not crucify the girl.
So… DO you have a lady friend? And do you like to date fans, specifically ones from Columbus, Ohio? Just wondering, no reason………
I am single! And do I/would I date a fan? Well I will never say never but for right now I’m preoccupied with figuring out how I’m gonna pay the rent every month lol!
Hypothetically, if you win the competition and get the big money, what is the first purchase you’d splurge on after doing the obligatory “financially responsible” things?
If I won the money after paying bills etc. I’d probably take my closest friends out and definitely celebrate and let them party it up. I’d then probably do some shopping, get a gun, a bike, and another tattoo… Then get back in school to finish since I’m fairly close
This season has been suspiciously hookup-free. What’s going on? I’ve never seen a season of The Challenge be so….. virginal. Any hookups that didn’t make it on camera? Did you have any lady friends in the house? We want details!
Are you not seeing Cara/Abe goin at it!? Lol but aside from their budding romance (it’s actually a real one because they are still together) all I’ll say about the seemingly PG nature of the house has more to do with some intelligent timing, and good hiding places ;). As far as myself and any lady friends… Of course its obvious that there are some attractive girls in the house and I do love the ladies but priority number one for me was to prove myself this season especially coming off of Fresh Meat 2 where I did absolutely nothing! Throwing a showmance in there would’ve just distracted me more! Plus I suck at multitasking but there were a couple of “interesting” drunken nights but nothing noteworthy.
My friend Jaime really wants me to ask you if you can Dougie. Hard-hitting journalism right here! I have faith that you can, and that you’ll teach her and I someday.
Yes I can Dougie lol but I think there should be an age limit on who’s doin it… I mean I don’t need to see guys that are 30+ Dougie’n in the club. Not a good look.
Hypothetical – You’re cast for Fresh Meat 3 as a veteran and SURPRISE! The Jersey Shore cast is there. You’re left with 3 choices – Sammi, Snooki, and J-Woww. Who do you pick and why?
If I’m pickin I definitely gotta go with JWow cus that chick is tough. She looks like she could kill you with just a look and she has a smart mouth. Love it. I mean Snooki is great but as far as the challenge goes… JWoww got it.
There are quite a few challenge veterans that you haven’t competed against yet. On future challenges, is there one veteran in particular that you would really like to compete against one on one?
Nah there’s nobody in particular that really sticks out that I’d want to go up against. Everyone brings something different to the game and you never know what you’re getting into until its right in front of you so that makes everything circumstantial.
I can’t imagine how horrible it is to sleep in the same room with that many people. How do you sleep! Who snores the loudest in the house? If I was you, I would’ve been worried Ty would sleep-attack me.
The sleeping arrangements don’t bother me much. I used to go to football/bball camp all the time so its similar. And I probably snore the loudest, lol especially when I’ve been drinkin… And I wasn’t worried bout Ty.
So sad to hear about TJ Lavin’s bike accident. Have you had a chance to see him and do you know how he’s doing?
TJ is doing a lot better and actually went home from the hospital on friday. Haven’t had chance to talk to him but he’s with his fam so I’m sure he needs that personal time.
You can watch MTV’s Cutthroats on Wednesdays at 10pm EST. You can also watch past episodes online with Brandon at MTV.com!
My sit down with with Noor from MTV’s Fresh Meat 2. He talks about his Jersey Shore love, Buckeye hate, and most importantly his Kenny Santucci bromance
As everyone knows, I’m a huge reality TV junkie and watch practically every MTV show loyally. Above all (yes, even Jersey Shore), my favorite show year after year is The Challenge. For those of you unfamiliar (shame!), the basic premise is a bunch of ex-Real World roommates competing for cash. LOTS of cash. MTV changed it up with Fresh Meat II, bringing in rookies new to MTV. Noor finished strong at 4th place, narrowly missing the cut for a cash prize.
